Necri looked over at Greyhair as Rain spoke. "I suggest we find this cave that Greyhair mentioned soon. I don't much care for getting wet, or killed by lightning-I hear it's more painful for the survivors than ten of my mind poison magics," he said as he struggled to stand up. The storm seemed ordinary, but Necri seemed to be nervous about something...but it was probably nothing for now...

Jimmy pushed himself slowly to his feet and tossed the blanket back to Rain. He looked around still squinting a bit and kept his hood over his head. "It's this way." He said pointing off into the forest then he glanced up. "Lightning strikes the highest point, don't you know anythin'? We got trees all around. Worse that'll happen in a lightning strike is one a the older ones might fall on ya."
The grey clad youth stretched and rubbed his eyes as he waited for the other two to get up and follow him.

Rain grabbed her blanket and carefully stowed it away, looking up at the sky as she did so. Dark clouds were billowing ahead in a menacing fashion. She didn't want to be under them right now. "Can't the lighting travel through the trees?" She asked Jimmy, thinking of something she had felt years ago in similar conditions. "It's weakened, yes, but still able to hurt you."
A few icy drops of rain, mingled with stinging sleet, began to glide down to the earth. Rain picked up her pace, getting closer to 'Greyhair'. She lifted her good hand to shield her eyes, the ice melting on her fur and sliding down to her elbow. She was glad she was a Sirin today, for her coat was keeping her dry. A rumble of thunder, along with a loud crack of lighting, sounded from miles away. She stiffened slightly: how she hated storms.

"It's all about probability. Lightning wants to get to the ground and rips through whatever's in the way. We're safer in a big clump of trees though," Necri said as he gathered his things and looked around for Jimmy-but he was nowhere to be found!
Thinking quickly, Necri pulled his hood over his face as the thunder boomed through the sky. He hated the sound of thunder. It wasn't that he felt afraid, but he did earnestly wish that he was somewhere else right now. After all, thunder was one of several things that he couldn't protect against!
