He nodded, and then came to the exit of the barn, poking his head out. Late afternoon was nestled in the village, the sun standing on the tops of peoples homes and watching over.
Erik's eyes darted across the village for any person who may be suspecting. Once he knew they were clear from any threats, he hobbled out of the barn and stood up straight, walking with only a slight limp. He winced at each step, but he didn't complain about it.
"I think we can go back to the hilltop.. I'm sure my horse will be there.. then we can ride out of here.." Erik told her in a subtle tone.

Rain looked back at the barn, and then stepped out with Erik. They walked slowly out of the village and up the slope to the place they had met. It was much more pleasant in the day light than it had been the night before.
There stood a horse, munching grass happily. When she had seen Erik, she trotted to her master's side and nuzzled his hand lovingly. Rain smiled and pet the mare's coat, "Will you let me ride you?"

Erik patted her, a smile forming on his face. His horse nuzzled the side of his neck lovingly and Erik turned to Rain. "I'm sure she'll let you ride her." He helped Rain up onto his horse's saddle, which barely took any notice to the very light amount of weight that was on her back.
Erik tried his best to clamber on, wincing from pain in his side, and then finally managing to get himself back up. He sat behind Rain, grabbing the reins in front of her. "Have you ever ridden a horse? It's a little bumpy, so hold on."
He tapped his horse's sides and immediately, the horse was quick into motion, traveling quickly over the hillsides. "We should stop at night though," Erik said softly.

Rain pulled herself up in the saddle, immediately surprised at the height. She gripped the horn of the saddle nervously as Erik slipped painfully in behind her. After he had taken the saddle in his hands she felt more secure, but she couldn't rid the nervousness she felt in her stomach.
Rain lifted her head from the horse's mane up to the vast land that lay before her. There were several paths leading away from their location, "Where are we going?" She asked.

For a moment, Erik was deep in thought, and then he replied, "I honestly don't know where we're going. It just wasn't safe to remain there. We need to find a place that will welcome us with open arms. Do you know anyone?"
He horse continued to run smoothly over the land as though the obstacles of hidden rocks or undergrowth were nothing. Erik seemed tense in the seat of the saddle and his breathing had quickened, his eyes darting to the side as though he were watching something.

[Just so you know, you're still in Ketrem, which is a place avoided by everyone but the mysterious people who live here. You've made a village here, but eh. No harm done. Ketrem is a forested island so you're only way out is by boat, really. I'm also joining with Ignatius.]
As they rode, they would have caught sight of a man in regal robes walking along. He did not look like a normal member of the village. He didn't really look like anything they would recognise. Just a man with a shock of red hair and rich clothing. He didn't seem to see or hear them.
[We take it in turns now, using the order of the two posts before this one]

The ride on the horse became more confortable as Rain went along. His question seemed silly to her, because first off she couldn't name anyone she knew. There were no Sirins on Ketrem besides herself. Pndering the question, she looked up and spotted a man with bright red hair.
"No, I don't know anyone here." She answered, still gazing at the man, "But I see someone." She pointed a clawed finger towards the person.

Erik turned his head in the direction Rain was looking to see the red headed man, and instantly he was filled with uneasiness. He didn't know whether to stop the horse or keep going at the same pase. "Who do you think that is?" He asked.
His horse had halted so suddenly, stopping in front of a bunch of clawed up rocks. Erik turned his horse towards the man with red hair. "I don't know who that is," Erik said, hoping the man wasn't a foe.

Ignatius then saw the riders and he locked his gaze onto them like a hawk watching mice in a field. He lifted an arm and waved quite casually. It wasn't a wave like a plea for help, or one particularly to get their attention. It was more of an, 'oh, hello' sort of wave.
He then simple watched then, waiting for something, it seemed. He did look very out of place. His robes were mostly red or maroon, with elaborate patterns of dark purple, gold, silver, and some black. His fingers were basically jointed with rings but there was something about his eyes that didn't seem normal.
Finally, he spoke to them in quite a formal manner, "Ah, what are you two children doing here, hmm?"

Rain eyed him causiously, his white iris' nearly unnerving her. She didn't wave back, but continued to stare. His voice was calm and cultured, and his words were precise. The horse took a few steps towards the man, and Rain lowered her head.

Though the appearance of the man did take Erik by surprise, the man appeared to have a friendly side and Erik greeted him. "I was just going to ask the same thing. I travel these parts. Yourself?" He patted the horse's neck. The mare responded by lowering her head slightly and shaking it.
Erik was aware that Rain seemed nervous, but he was sure that the man meant no harm.

"You travel these parts," Ignatius repeated with a hint of mockery. "You're on an island that nobody likes sailing to. The only way to get here is by boat. In addition, the village that lies deep in the forest hates outsiders, meaning nobody ever sees it and nobody ever sees who lives there. I suppose you did find that newer village of humans though." He said the word 'human' as though he wasn't one himself.
As he walked toward them a little, it seemed like this man knew a lot about what they were doing and he also appeared quite suspicious, though he wasn't armed with any visible weapons.
"If you're going to hide from The Enemy, you need to actually hide. Horses leave solid tracks as well as other kinds of... items... that can be tracked down easily. They are large and noisy when they move." Then he tilted his head very slightly and looked at them both blankly. It was now clear that both of his eyes were pearl white. It wasn't obvious who he was looking at.

Rain's uneasiness heightened the closer he came. Everytime she looked at his eyes a chill would pass through her. She lowered her head as he took the last few steps before them, listening to his words carefully.
She wanted to speak against him, but she couldn't find the words. Anything she spoke would seem nothing to him.

For a moment, Erik felt a surge of frustration, but he relaxed quickly. The man was being helpful and wasn't acting as any threat. "I've lived in Ketrem for a while now. I was suprirsed by the new village, but the people were kind. I usually stay close. I don't hide from the Enemy," Erik replied quickly.
He wasn't scared of the Enemy, deep down, but angry with Them. He had set on a quest to escape his fate, but at the same time, stop it from taking him.

Ignatius laughed subtly, then heartily, then mockingly, and then he calmed himself.
"Oh, small child, you'd best watch your words. He can hear you. He can see you. He can see everything and everyone that doesn't want to be seen." He paused and stood like a statue for a moment. "I think you should come with me. I know a good place for you to hide." But, knowing that they would no sooner eat a seagull's foot, he repeated himself.
"Come with me." His voice was quiet and resonant now. It would be extremely difficult for almost any mortal to resist this command.
