"I remember things now, before he took me in...I remember I wasn't fitting in with the other kids-not that there were many, so my parents crafted toys for me to play with. They're not exactly high quality, but they managed to last through my first encounters with shadow magic. What they're doing here is beyond me," Necri said as he examined every little trinket with great care. The dust was starting to settle, but the confusion in Necri's mind was still there.

She continued to stand politely next to Necri, remaining silent yet still attentive. She knew nothing of his past, and little more of her own, so she felt there was nothing she could add. She rocked from her heels to her toes for a while, for her companion had gone silent. Her gaze drifted to the lonely wall, standing haphazardly among heaps of ruins. It held nothing of interest, yet she continued to gaze at it.
A crack sounded, though only very slightly. The wall at which she was staring seemed to have moved slightly--or was it her imagination? She squinted for a while at the wall, trying to see if it would move again. Suddenly, a large crack appeared on the wall, and a louder cracking noise was heard. Rain grabbed necri by the cloak and tried to pull him out of the way.

"Woah, hey!" Necri exclaimed as the wall suddenly collapsed right onto where he was sitting moments before! Unfortunately, it also crushed everything that had been there!
Necri suddenly blinked twice. "Wha? What happened? It was like I was under a spell or something..." Necri said as he looked over at Rain, who seemed to be okay, considering what had just happened.

Rain looked from the confused Necri to the newly fallen wall. Something odd did happen, but she didn't know what. It felt like she was in a different room, yet still standing in the remains of the castle. Her head started to swim suddenly, so she grasped onto a fallen stone. She closed her eyes until it had passed, but still she felt somewhat odd.
"Can we leave now?" She asked Necri quietly, looking around the area nervously, "I know this was your home, but I don't like it here. There's something wrong." She looked over her shoulder for something, yet she didn't know what.

"Agreed. There's nothing left for me now. Guess it's time to go adventuring now," Necri said as he said a quick prayer for the spirits of the dead and looked out at the world. Now, more than ever, it seemed that the mountains went on forever and he wanted to see it all!
"Now, let's get out of this place, it's giving me a bad feeling too."
