Eric walked slowly away from the shore and into the jungles, sniffing a little. "Wierd place. Something human, but not human." he said. His wild, tribal appearence helped him fit in with the jungles. Eric continued onwards, looking for any sign of at least another person. Or perhaps food.

As it happened there were signs of another person. Footprints in the sand leading up from a place on the shore, just above the tide line where it seemed someone or something had lain for a time.
About two thirds of the way toward the jungle a teen with bright red hair sat huddled up his eyes wide as he looked around in a manner that may suggest he was scared. The teen clearly didn't fit in here. He was wearing what might have once been a well kept red silk shirt, now dirty and water logged like his formally white pants that were presently rolled up to mid calf. A ship wreck victim perhaps.

Eric saw the footprints and followed them, sniffing the air a little, trying to make out ascent. He could smeel sweat, and a little adrenaline. "A person?" he asked himself.
He kept his spear at the ready as he came across a red haired teen. He was some distance away and Eric immediatly lept into the bushes. He cursed his stupidity for being out in the open, and made his silent way towards the boy.

The red haired teen continued looking around him, his eyes continually flicking one way then another as though the slightest visible sign of movement was of concern. However, he didn't seem to look towards Eric, not even when the boy jumped into the bushes, likely making sound in the process.
He did eventually move, though, huddling up with his back to a tree, perhaps so he didn't have to look behind himself as often.

Eric frowned. He knew he'd been detected, so not much point in continued hiding. Still he might be able to confuse this weirdo if he crept around a bit. He went around behind him and lept forwards and pulled his spear shaft up against this person's throat.

Lucian was clearly caught by surprise and despite being a couple years older then his assaulter he was unarmed. He stayed still, except for a slight tremble, and made no attempt to pull away from the boy who was now holding a spear shaft to his neck.
He just sat there, he didn't even speak a word.

Eric pulled the spear down harder on Lucian's throat, hoping to choke him to death. Humans were apparently quite easy to kill. Animals could never be killed like this. Unless this 'playing dead' stuff was an act. That could prove to be problematic.

Lucian started to kick and struggle and tried to scratch at anything he could reach but he clearly wasn't skilled at defending himself, except at a most basic level of course.
As he was choked tears came to his eyes. He whimpered and choked and made other sounds but none of them counted as anything intelligible. He said nothing but he kept trying to push this violent scruffy, filthy peasant away.

[Joining with Lucas Scott]
"Hey! What are you kids doing!"
A little up the beach was a man in a uniform of The Guards, though the bottom half of him was soaked and his clothes were somewhat tattered. Half his armour was missing. He reached the two and tried to pull Eric off, clutching the child from a defensive position, being well trained himself.

Eric let go of the other boy and turned the spear on the newcomer. But something in his mind was clicking. This was an adult. He should listen to adults. But then again he wasn't always one to listen. He stood there, slightly uncertain as to what he should do.

Lucian continued to kick and struggle, his eyes closed tight, until he felt the other boy move off him. He got up and ran in the only direction he could, apparently by impulse, back towards the beach. It was a minute or two before he seemed to realise where he was, or that he didn't know, and then he heavily sat himself down in the sand and cried with his knees hugged to his chest.

Scott flinched at Eric's aggression and then watched Lucian run away. He brought his attention back to Eric and observed his outfit.
"Why did you attack that boy?" Scott asked, looking rather out of it himself.

Eric had to take several minutes to remember how to speak. "He's in my territory, he's strange, kill it before it kills me." he said quickly.

Lucian sat where he was, hugging his legs to his chest apparently sulking. Or he could have just been ignoring Eric and the Guard.
He didn't seem to hear the conversation going on behind him. He only got up to avoid the waves when he saw the water creeping towards him across the sand.

"I'm strange too," Scott said, "but you didn't attack me." He looked around slowly. "Some kind of authority restraint perhaps... How did you two get here?" And he turned to Lucian and raised his voice, "How did you get here?" For he had no idea of how he had reached the island himself.
