(I've actually forgotten what exactly was going on. So the thread's continuity might be a little disrupted.)
The two were led into the dark, menacing fortress and down hallways to the dungeons. "Get in there scum, you'll be dealt with later." their captors said and hurled them in. The doors could be heard slamming shut, and then silence.

[Are we in separate cells or what?]
Enos stood up and looked about. He held the bars in his hands and foolishly attempted to bend them. It was worth a try, he told himself. He looked at every wall on each side and then out through the bars at the rest of the dungeon. It was all dark and dreary, and he couldn't see much.

(no)
Alex stood up and only now realized how freezing it was. He didn't show how cold he was though. Save maybe for his skin going a little red. He leaned against the wall and sat there with his breath misting. Now he was here a flame of revenge had sparked up, and the cold didn't seem to exist.

Enos turned to Alex in the corner and went to him. Having no extra items of clothing to offer the boy for added warmth, he put an arm around him to stop him shivering.
"You look frozen," he muttered, his breath coming out as wisps of icy air. "But then who am I to speak... Just hold on and keep your eyes open... Remember where you are..." He could see Alex was in an entirely different world in his mind and he tried to bring him back. "There's nothing you can do right now, so breathe and focus..."

Alex only barely heard him. He ducked out from under Enos, stood and began pacing. It would at least keep him warm, so something had gotten through. He pulled his cloak a little more around himself and found it did offer a little warmth, though not enough for this weather. He stopped pacing when he heard the iron door clatter open. Two ragged, ripped furs were thrown in and whoever delivered it was now locking the door. "The master does not wish you dead." the cloaked and cowled figure said simply and drifted off down the hall.

Enos looked down at the furs, then down the hall, and then at Alex.
"You can have them both," he said. "I don't need them." He watched Alex for a response, knowing he'd either take them without a word or snap back with something.

Alex picked up only one of the furs and tossed the other to Enos, not bothering to aim. He wrapped the other one around himself and pulled up his hood. It helped a little. Though he scarcely noticed. Alex turned to Enos abruptly. "What do you know about Garukavar?"

Enos kicked the fur back towards Alex a little but froze when Alex said 'Garukavar'.
"You shouldn't speak that name," Enos said quietly. "Now he's watching us... He's watching you... All of your mind is open for him to read... It's not brave to speak his name and not feel fear. It's foolish." He paused and took a breath. "But to answer your question... I don't know much. I'm not really a religious man, and though this isn't religion, those kinds of people know a lot more about it. To me he is the source of everything bad and wrong."
He looked up at the dark ceiling suddenly, as though a gentle voice was whispering from above.

Alex shrugged. "Whatever, he can read my mind. I have nothing to hide. That is if he even exists." He pulled the fur tighter around himself and returned to his silence. He was still working things out.

"Mmm," Enos muttered, looking out through the bars at the passageway.
He waited a few minutes before saying, "If this 'master' wishes us alive, that either means he wants to see us or wants to use us for something, right?" He looked to Alex, hoping to get some new knowledge on the one who was holding them prisoner.

"Probably just trying to get information from us. When he's done, we'll be killed." Alex muttered. "I just want to know his name. I was once told, but I've since forgotten."
He returned to sitting, with the fur pulled over him. There was a way to get out, he didn't want to take it just yet though. It could be dangerous.

"Mm." Enos sat near him and folded his hands over his lap, watching Alex from the corner of his eye. He was concerned, but he also didn't want to play any dominant role. He guessed that Alex wouldn't appreciate something like that.
"I hope he doesn't take too long in deciding whatever he's deciding," he said, mostly to himself. "I don't like waiting around. People would be looking for me."
He paused and waited a moment before adding, "What do you have against this person? What did he do?"

"If I wanted to tell you, I'd have told you." Alex answered shortly. "I don't care if you are my superior, mind your own business."

[Any progression in this thread needs to come from you, though. This is your area and your plot]
Enos again kept his mouth shut. It was obvious to him that Alex wasn't in the mood for divulging, and hadn't been in that mood since they met. Still, he figured the most he could do was wait until Alex was ready to talk about it.
"Rank means nothing in a place like this. I wasn't asking questions as your commander, but as a concerned acquaintance. The world isn't against you."

Alex shrugged, mostly ignoring the man. "Besides that Cole person, are there any other people of note to your knowledge?" he asked.
