Name: Whip
Other names: Rat boy, thief, desert rat, monkey boy, freak, etc.
Age: About 15. Perhaps older, perhaps younger...nobody's ever asked.
Gender: Male
Race: Ildemin, with more than a few inclinations towards rat.
Class/Rank: Thief
Abilities: Whip sees the world in souls. He can make his way around just by smelling, touching or even tasting objects around him. Nobody even knows if he can see normally. Once again, nobody has ever had the chance to ask.
Whip's tail is prehensile. He often uses it as a free-standing weapon, hence his name.
Due to his versatility, Whip is able to climb and leap much further than most other people. However, a skilled fighter might be able to keep pace with him.
Personality: Super hyperactive is the first thing that most people think of when they see Whip. However, he is often seen crouching completely still, as though waiting for something to happen. If he sees that your soul is good, he will easily warm up to you. If you're nasty, he'll either fight you, or stick his tongue out and run. Usually though, he's friendly and cheerful.
Appearance: Whip looks somewhat like a human, save for his long, pointed ears. He also has a long tail that is shaped much like a rat's. He has small 'claws' on the tips of his fingers and toes, but they more resemble pointed nails than anything useful-a dangerous mistake to make...
Whip's hair is rather thick and messy, since nothing close to a brush or comb has ever touched it. It is about shoulder length and a very dark brown, but if it was brushed, most people think it would be much, much longer. His skin is also very tanned, almost bronze in its own way.
Weapon/Magic: Whip uses anything he can for a weapon-broken pottery, rocks, flaming sticks, his tail, the half-developed claws on his fingers and toes, even his teeth! He doesn't use or trust magic, but he does 'imitate' magic. For example, if a mage were to use basic earth magic, Whip would try and copy it by flinging rocks around. As for fire, he'll try and pull sticks out of a fire and throw those around. Granted, he's not all that bright, but it is an effective technique for fighting magic with 'magic.'
History: Nobody's really sure where Whip came from. Some say he's the earth itself come to life, others that he's just some punk kid that avoids what little justice there is to be had in Scarcus. All anybody knows is that he is Whip.
In truth, Whip was born in Scarcus. Nobody knows what happened to his parents, though most people think they must have been passing through and they were somehow separated. Now, Whip lives in a secluded cave with his 'shinies:' a series of random spoils that he has taken from the townspeople. They mostly consist of broken trinkets and coins, although there are a few interesting things amongst the piles if you look hard enough.
Whip rarely speaks to anyone, but when he does, he speaks a very broken language. He only knows just enough to make sense. Occasionally.
He usually remains unnoticed, but people know when he's been around, since food tends to go missing...
((And now I go to sleep. I has a cold...))
