The trees of the forest moved softly with the breeze that was running through. It must have been turning Fall because some of the trees leaves were playing onto the ground, even covering the road through the forest. And traveling along that road someone might get lost because they were confused by the leaves.
But somewhere in the forest along the road something was walking straight along the road through the leaves... a young woman, in a purple robe with her hood pulled up. She appeared to be a Shadow mage from the way she was dressed, but she was far from it, in fact, she was a Light mage, and was quite peaceful, though she did tend to avoid civilization as much as possible for some reason.
On this day though, this girl was walking through the forest appearing to be heading towards the nearest town, but then she turned off of the road straight into the thick bushes and trees in the forest and soon came out into a clearing with a waterfall. There she pulled her hood down revealing brown hair that reached her shoulders and lavender eyes, and strangely enough, cat ears, and now if you could see the back of her, you could see a cat tail poking out the back of her robe.
But she didn't seem fazed as she sat down next to the water and closed her eyes, just seeming to sit there doing nothing.

[Joining with Esmond]
A man was walking down the road towards her. It could be seen immediately that this man, unlike the girl, was some kind of outlaw, or brigand, or perhaps even a hunter. He looked entirely unkempt yet powerful and still with some kind of authority in his gaze and step. As he neared the girl, he turned his head slightly to observe her but then she sharply turned into the forest. For whatever reason, he followed her from a distance. When she sat beside the water, he stood at the edge of the clearing and crossed his arms. He took a careful look over both shoulders and then yelled gruffly:
"You there! Girl! Are you alone?"

(Yeah, didn't even read your post when I decided to do that. LMAO!)
The girl looked over at him, her eyes seeming to be filled with all kinds of emotion. "Yes sir, why?" she asked.
She stood up as she asked him that question and started to walk towards him.

When she began to move, Esmond stepped back and held up his hand in the hope of stopping her progression. He turned his head slightly to one side, his gaze still vaguely in her direction, as though trying to avoid breathing in some unseen poison aura she presented.
"It's dangerous," Esmond said. "Were I a brigand with a bow, you'd be dead... or worse. How about you run along home now?"
He inspected her more closely with his eyes, searching for some unseen weapons she might have concealed on her elegant outfit. Still, he couldn't help but wonder.

When he had held his hand up to stop her she had stopped. "I do not have a home," she said watching him, looking slightly confused.
She also seemed to be watching him suspiciously waiting to see if he would suddenly attack her.
"Therefore," she continued, "I cannot go home. I travel from place to place, without stopping except for maybe a night at an inn, but only one night."

"No, no you don't get it," Esmond said. His voice was lined with panic, as though he was actually being followed by bandits. "I'm suggesting you stop wandering around the wilderness with no weapons and no way to defend yourself. Do you have any money on you? Bah, forget it. It's not my loss. Suit yourself."
And with that, he turned and headed back for the road, somehow already fed up with her, though she'd barely said a thing to him.

She had a slight smirk on her face and crossed her arms. ~~Well, that was easy,~~ she thought to herself.
She turned back to the river and sat back down.

Her shadow only moved an inch or two before somebody else entered the clearing. The men could be heard some way off; they were loud and made no effort to remain unnoticed. They sounded as though they were headed straight for the river. One of them could be heard yelling about it being a productive few hours, and another replied with comments involving the mention of water and needing to clean tools. They were not yet in sight but would surely spot her very soon if she remained where she sat.

Her eyes opened as she looked towards the voices. She quickly headed for the trees as she began to climb up into one intending to watch these men and see what they were doing.
Once up in the tree she made sure she was well hidden behind all the leaves, praying her robe was not visible, for she of all people knew her robe was far from blending in.

The men who emerged into the clearing seemed oblivious to the girl nearby. Though indeed they hadn't properly looked her way, they also seemed somewhat inebriated. Even if they had spotted her, it seemed likely that they would dismiss the colourful mass as some foreign bird or just a dress in a tree. Still able to walk fairly well, they reached the water and noisily began to clean their bloodstained weapons. Between two of them they were carrying a shaft which was now on the ground, and tied to it were numerous rabbit-looking things hanging by their feet. The others were carrying masses of tools, equipment, and weapons on them which they removed and laid out to observe, clean, count, and test.
"Where's yer cabin, Gamner?" one of the men asked. The one logically named Gamner replied, "Some ways that ways." And he waved his hand vaguely in the direction of the girl without looking. "Still a ways off yet though. Not gonna be dark for aaages so we gots the time."
Despite most of them laying out all their items, there were some sacks and pouches that remained closed and tied off.

When the man had pointed at the tree her foot had slipped, for she could not hear what he was saying, and thought he was telling them to come get her.
When her foot slipped she let out a yell as she fell down onto the ground onto her back, and let out a hard cough as the wind was knocked out of her lungs from the landing.
She then quickly started scramble up.

"What's this?" Gamner called as he spotted the girl. He stared for a moment with a stupefied face but when he realised what he was looking at he grinned. "Hey boys, there's a little lady out here. She don't look like a hunter. Does she look like a hunter to you, Borh?" "Nah, she dun look like a hunter to me," one of the other men mocked. Gamner approached her with his hunting knife in his hand. He was wiping it with a cloth when he asked her, "Are ye a hunter, lady? Or are ye hunted?"

"I am neither sir," she said looking at him as she stood there. "But please, do not come any closer," she said.
Her hands were clasped together in like an upwards pretend gun with the left over three fingers on each hand enlaced(Sp?), but there was a slight sliver of light coming from between them.
(Okay, I had a bit of trouble understanding about the magic, so if I do something wrong here, let me know and I'll change it.)

Gamner tilted his head and watched the light for a moment. Then he grinned. Predicting what she was to do, he grabbed the side of his tattered cloak and lifted it up slightly as though he was preparing to tug it up in front of him to act as a cloth shield. He took a step towards her, watching, teasing, not breaking eye contact, and he gripped his knife tightly.
"Whoops. I got closer. How silly of me," he taunted.
By now the other men had moved to a spot where they could see what was happening. They, too, seemed amused and oblivious to the potential destruction that could ensue.
"What are you gonna do about that, then?" Gamner asked, taking another step closer.
[[Just in case battle initiates: these are all grown men with some experience in melee combat and obviously bear more strength and endurance than her, but they are also somewhat intoxicated and this affects their coordination and judgement]]

(Okay. ^_^ Well, just so I don't GM I am going to try and type this right. >_<) "I warned you stranger," she said as she closed her eyes mutter several incantations and then shouted loudly, "SHAK!" as a light filled the whole clearing. It was bright enough to temporarily blind someone. (If that was done badly let me know. After all, this is my first time doing anything like this. And I left it so that it is up to you if any of them get blinded by the light. LMAO! That sounds like I'm saying that they died and are seeing the light. >_<)
