The cheers of the roaring drunks were enough to turn anyone's nose and were starting to annoy Elthevos. He stared out from under his dark hood while drinking from his tankard. The armosphere in the ground level of the tavern was hazy and filled with the smell of alcohol and sweaty, dirty worksmen.
He sat and waited at the bar for someone who he thought worthy. After some time, and some drinks, he was beginning to wonder if this were the place to be looking for what he was looking for.
"Fill'er up," He called out to the man at the bar.

[Joining with Blake]
Across the room, a boy of about 10 or 11 with green hair was staring at Elthevos. Finally, he set a course for the man, avoiding the regulars. He came to his table and put his arms behind his back, waiting a moment as if they were meant to say something. When they didn't, he looked over both shoulders.
"Have, uh, have you seen a grey cat around? That little girl has lost her--" When he turned to point, there was nobody there. "Ah, she was there a moment ago."
He trailed off, mumbling something about girls and their smells, and brought his arms out from behind his back, revealing the gold armour that almost encased them completely. Not only would the gold be quite heavy, but it would be worth an awful lot. He looked back at him. Drowning in awkwardness, he fell silent, blinking his golden eyes innocently. Clearly, the tavern was no place for such a boy, and a Scarcen tavern was even less suitable, but he didn't seem the least bit concerned.

It was getting to the early hours and Elthevos remained persistant convinced that those he was looking for lurked about much later than he predicted. A young boy of about 10 approached his table and asked if he'd seen a cat and claimed a girl had lost it.
"I've seen many cats, boy." Elthevos told the boy, peering at his golden armour. "But none of which were grey and I'd imagine they wouldn't last long in a place such as this." Elthevos already had suspicions about this boy and knew he was more of what he appeared.
He took another mouthful of his ale.

"Oh," Blake said. He put on a sad face and looked around. "Oh." He doubled over to check under the table. "Oh." He grabbed the man's mug and looked inside it. "Oh. Well... What are you doing? Where are you going? Do you know the way? Do you need a map? Or a guide? Can I help? Can I? Please? You don't have to pay me. I like to explore. Do you like to explore? I don't know why people get money to explore. Just going there is payment."
He took a breath and sighed.
