A step-by-step guide to starting an RP and creating a character:
1) Read all rules!
2) Go to Creating Your Character and copy the text in the Character Template
3) Start a new thread under Creating Your Character and paste the text, filling out all sections afterwards
4) Wait for an admin or moderator to accept it or ask for more information, depending
5) Once your character is accepted, either go explore places to find an RP thread with no replies or start one of your own. Try to spread them out a little so they're easier to find.
If you're not sure whether or not you can join a thread, read the title of it.
If it says, say, "Walking to Town [open]", the 'open' implies anyone can join it.
Whereas if it says, "Walking to Town [Xennavor, open]", this means it's an invite for Xennavor to join, but it's also open to anyone else.
If it says, "Walking to Town [Xennavor]", this means only Xennavor can participate in this RP.
Finally, if it says, "Walking to Town [TG]", this means only members of The Guards [TG] can participate in this RP.
Of course, 'walking to town', 'TG', and 'xennavor' are only examples.
