Personality:
Daveth is a little on the strange side. He prefers to spend his time more with animals and plants than with people. He is very peaceful and clam and prefers not to harm living things if he can absolutely avoid it.
Appearance:
He's an average teenager when it comes to height and build, though some may think he's on the thin side. He has shoulder length brown hair that often looks wild and a bit tangled with the occasional leaf or twig lodged in it. His eyes are also brown, with a hint of gold in them. A hint of a teenagers bears dusts his chin. Notably the right side of his face is tattooed with blue swirls.
He usually wears knee length shorts, a simple shirt and a short robe or long tunic in natural greens and browns. He tends to go barefoot quite often though he wears boots if he's travelling great distances. Around his waist he wears a belt with a number of pouches and he often carries a satchel made of animal hide and painted with designs like those on his face.

History:
Daveth's parents were farmers who tended a patch of land in Temanea when he was about ten a blight of bugs attacked the crops on nearby fields but his parents, for some strange reason remained untouched. There were accusations of witchcraft and other more unsavoury things and they were chased from their land and their crop confiscated.
They took refuge in the woods and this is where they met a strange old woman. At first the woman tried to scare them off and then she spotted Daveth and she recognised something in the boy. She offered them save passage and places to hide in the woods on one condition, that they let her teach their boy what she knew.
Daveth is still learning and he spends a fair measure of time with the old woman, but as she is quite old she often sends him out to do things.
