"Shush!" Kuvre hissed through clenched teeth. Her frustration was mounting as her partner didn't see the gravity of the situation. She was all for silence, and the un-gagged captive was a sure sign that she wasn't going to achieve it.
She quickly halted the small group with the sound of the cry. "Up the trees." Kuvre commanded, taking the Fanoran from Imros' tired arms. She looked at it's face sharply, as if she was trying to read it's mind. It's face was honest and terrified, good enough for her. She pushed him a head of her, "Quickly, now!"

"But...But!" Seilk protested as she shoved him further up the tree. "What if they're in the trees?" Imros hissed as he was shoved ahead of her. This was getting progressively worse. An unpleasant silence drifted over them. Seilk quiver at the top of the tree before sliding down on top of Imros' head. "What's the matter with you? You scared of your own kind or something?" he growled as Seilk claws sunk into his head. The young Fanoran looked down at them, "No..." He mumbled unconvincingly. Imros looked down at Kurve, "So? Plan?" he enquired in what he knew would seem annoyingly matter-of-fact.

Her plan? Wasn't it obvious? She wanted up the stupid tree! She kept her thoughts to herself and waved them up, "Just get up the tree, please." She said in a soft voice. Once they had settled on a thick branch, with Seilk placed safely between Kuvre and Imros, she decided it probably wasn't as obvious. "I just want to pop a few more out, if you know what I mean." She said, pulling an arrow out of her quiver. She only had a few more left. I should have pulled the last one out of that Fanoran before we ran past, she thought. "I don't want to risk either of us getting hurt. Can you imagine what would happen if 16 of those things got into Shuptalxia?"
She sat in silence for a while, letting Imros digest this new bit of information. "If nothing comes by in five minutes, I'll go down and look around, but you and Seilk here stay put." Honestly, she would like to stay put, too. The silence of the trees was nerve wracking, it seemed as if the wind had hushed to listen, too.

"Sixteen..." Imros muttered, thinking of the potential chaos sixteen Fanorans could cause. "I'll give you a hand, I've got loads of arrows left," he grinned pulling a few out of his quiver. Three Fanorans sped underneath them as he knocked on arrow. "Look away buddy..." he whispered to Seilk. He let the loose the three arrows in his head. The Fanoran flinched as he heard two of them hit. Imros cursed and slid to another branch. He missed. The Fanoran looked up and snarled. "Kurve...you got a plan B?" he asked nervously as the Fanoran made it's way towards the tree. "I wasn't suppose to miss!" he cried desperately as he caught the scathing look. He tried to fire another arrow but the creature dodged it. "What is this thing?! Indestructible?" he howled as another arrow missed. Seilk leapt from behind him onto the other Fanorans head. "Seilk! What are you doing!?" Imros cried as the ball of fur and claws rushed past him.

Quickly, she pulled her knife out of it's small sheath attached to her leg. She slid her body off the branch, landing on the next limb down, and leveled her knife in front of her, keeping it's tip pointed threateningly at her enemy's neck. When Seilk landed on the larger Fanoran's head, he had tilted it off balance, causing it to struggle temporarily. Kuvre quickly drew forward and kicked the Fanoran, trying to push it off the tree. It scratched at her ankle desperately, Seilk's claws digging deeper to hold on to the other's head and shoulders, but fell backwards, hitting the ground with a thud. Seilk scurried away almost instantly, while the other looked up as if still in a daze.
"Take care of it!" She shouted to Imros in shock and excitement.

"Yes Ma'am!!" he cried gleefully and slid down the trunk. "C'mon you! Claws come in handy!" he shouted as he chased after another Fanoran that had appeared from behind a tree. Imros giggled as he fired another arrow. "Shouldn't you be worried...not laughing?" Seilk asked as his captor charged up a tree."Probably," the Keid answered as he hung upside down ad fired another three arrows. There was a faint rustling noise which traveled around the clearing. "Scared?" he asked, looking over to Seilk, "Now I'm scared!" he whimpered as the noise got louder. "KUUURVE!!" he howled.

[Pssst, you don't know my name XD I'll assume you said "Help me!" or something...]
"Augh!" She said, sliding a branch down and grabbing one of his ankles. She struggled to hoist him up to a standing possition as the rustling stopped suddenly. She looked about, studying quietly with her ears. A twang resounded and a swoosh soon followed. "DOWN!" She shouted, pulling his arm as she leaped from the tree.
She didn't land anywhere near gracefully, but hit the ground hard and toppled over on her right forearm. She looked up quickly and rolled over on her back, pushing herself up quickly with her elbows. She looked around for Imros and spotted him standing a short distance from her. Her eyes were wide. She looked around the clearing and saw small spaces for escape, and then ran towards on past him, grabbing his arm as she did so. "We have to get out of here!" she cried as a knife whizzed past her face and stuck into a tree.

[Ohh! hehe "stupid!"] "Best idea you've had all day!" he shouted, spitting out the intolerable amount for dirt that had been forced into his mouth when he fell. "Thanks for saving us by the way," he smiled, still unaware if she knew he still has hold of Seilk who was swinging haphazardly from the end of Imros' arm. He scanned the circle of foes for a exit. No such luck. He looked across to his partner, he had to think this through - or not. "Hey!" he hissed, "I've had an idea," he grinned. Ignoring his partners worried looked he seized her around the waist. "Catch the branch! When I let go," he whispered, still keeping his eye on the melee of Fanorans that had appeared. "look what I got! Silly furry-fuzzballs!! You want it?" he teased dancing around the glade shaking Kurve around. "Go!" he whispered and flung her at a near by tree. "Go get 'er!" he roared and watched her soar through the air. If she didn't have the urge to kill him before, she certainly would now. [ ;DHappy Birthday by the way!]

[Thanks! It was indeed ] Everything had happened very quickly, so much that she wasn't sure just how to react. First she was confused, then angry, then shocked, then angry again. She only had time to look back once before Imros had nearly launched her into the trees. There were nearly a dozen Fanorans behind them, all with the same look of joy on their faces. Their teeth glinted hauntingly, and their eyes were bright. She caught the branch and quicly tried to pull her self up, pulling three arrows out of her bow and letting them loose almost instantly. They guided right into the chests of her enemies, pulling them down and causing others to stumble over them. With a small distraction, and her and Imros split up, Kuvre dodged futher into the leafy trees and was lost from sight. Her hopelessness started to fade, and was replaced with a small sense of victory. "We can do this," she whispered to herself, looking over the trunk of a tree and seeing three bodies laying face down. She alighted the tree and slid towards the bodies, wanting to retrieve the three arrows. She pucked one out with a gushy pop, and the other two she had to struggle with slightly until she had them loosed. With this task done, she quickly withdrew from the open and back into the thickness of the leafy undergrowth. She could hear distant pounds of footsteps and could only hope that Imros had some more good ideas.

[I'm back ;D]
Imros thudded through the undergrowth, try to evade the mass of Fanorans that were chasing him. Seilk was doing his fair share of the work, it seemed the little guy was going 'native'. H He still need to think of a plan to keep them away from Shuptalxia and a way of meeting back up his Kurve. He heard some equally loud footsteps from through the bush. "C'mon you!" he yowled and grabbed Seilk again. "I've had one of my ideas," he said happily, running up a tree and finishing another two of their pursuers. "You have far too many of those!" Seilk muttered as once again he was sored precariously above the ground. IMros grinned as he caught sight of a familiar figure tunning below him. "Hey! I had one of my amazing ideas!" he called to her, wearing a ridiculous grin.

After Kurvre had ducked beneath the cover of foliage, she quickly and silently made her way towards Imros. She bumped her head on lower branches and muttered curses beneath her breath. She hear the hyperactive voice of Imros and forgot her pain for a while. When she popped out of the bushes and saw his face, she had a hard time controlling her laughter. "That's great!" She said half-heartedly gazing at the fallen enemies. She had lost count of how many were left, which had worried her. Maybe it was the bumps on the head, but it was vastly important to keep going. She struggled with the questions when she realized the answer almost instantly. "There's seven left out there. By the way, my name's Kuvre."

"Ah! Imros Issilidhar!" He grinned and dropped next to her, he'd completely forgotten that neither of them knew the other's name. Seven that was a worryingly reasonable statistic. "Ok! How about we...um..nope it's gone," he began but realised that he'd completely forgotten his plan. He smiled sheepishly at Kurve. "Ooh! Yeah!" he cheered, remembering his plan; ignoring the selection of scathing looks that followed him. "How about one of runs back into the forest as a detour and the other runs back to Shuptalxia to get the others. We'll definitely finish 'em off this time," He explained as they charge through the forest. "Which one you want to do?" he smiled - this is utterly stupid but he'd found that was normally the best formula for a plan.

Kuvre thought of this for a while, wondering how good Imros' reputation was. Her reputation wasn't bad, but it was not good, either. She knew little people from Shuptalxia, so she thought that it would be bad for her to go into the village to collect recruits. "You go, I'll take my chances...and Seilk." She grabbed at the little creature, but it cowered away. "C'mon, fella. I don't think the rest of us Kieds will accept you as well as Imros and I have."

Seilk looked up at her mournfully and climbed onto her shoulder. "Alright," he sighed wistfully. Imros smiled, "Great! See you in an hour or so!" he cried and bolted off to Shuptalxia. "Are you sure that was a good idea?" Seilk asked quietly as he watched one of his captors charging through the forest in a most ungainly fashion. "He's not exactly discrete is he? Though I suppose he's reliable enough - it was his idea," The Fanoran mused, looking down to Kurve.

She glanced strangely after him as he ran into the forest. She raised a brow then looked up to Seilk as he spoke. "I have no choice but to trust him right now, do I?" She replied, then looked around a bit. Poking Seilk into a more comfortable position on her shoulders, she backtracked up the forest, looking for someone to distract.
She swept through thick brush, accidentally hitting Seilk on low-hanging branches or getting him caught in vines. Though having to untangle him was frustrating, the looks on his face were always worth it. He looked like a kitten with water splashed on it.
A path opened up before her quite suddenly, causing her to jump back and crouch behind a thick plant. She could feel her captive straining to look over the leaves and down the road, but she tugged it's leg, bringing him back below the bushes. She drew her knife out of it's small sheath and plunged it into the soft earth. Resting her ear on the handle, she strained to hear footsteps going up or down the way. Soft pairs was moving slowly away, going towards Shuptalxia. She quickly stumbled out and let a stream of loud words out of her mouth: "HERE KITTY, KITTY, KITTY!"
