Imros looked down at the small, smug ball of grey fur, "Not to say I told you so...but I told you so!!" He grinned, as inwardly as he could. "So Fuzz-ball. How many of you are hiding away up in these trees?" he snarled, looking back across at Kurve. An unpleasantly serene silence drifted across the forest. He looked back up into the trees, still raining leaves down. He was all out of ideas, he knew thy couldn't take all the Fanoran's by themselves - because he was almost certain that they were outnumbered. He looked over to his counterpart for ideas.

[You can, oh skilled one I'm going to release myself in a bunch of words ] She was a bit empty minded, still recovering from the shock of her stupidity. "Let's go somewhere less open." She said, turning around, though still looking upwards. She took steps around her companion and their captive, "Quickly, now!" She stepped speedily and silently into an area thick with foliage, large leaves draping overhead lazily, creating a canopy of safety. They ventured deeper into the odd hideaway, turning down selected paths, passing up others. She led the group to a small cove beneath a large treeroot, growing strangely out of the ground. She slipped beneath and placed her hands on her head, her mind digging deep into tunnels of thought. "Rope over there." Her voice spoke absentmindedly. Had they seen them? Did they know where the two Kieds were? Did they follow, and hopefully get lost in the maze of trails? She had nothing to work with but a small captive. She didn't know what sort of capabilities her partner had, she didn't even know his name, but being in front of the enemy was no time to ask. If only the two could get the Fanorans spread out, so that they could take them down one by one. But how? She voiced her thoughts, then waited for Imros' answer.

[Ooh Lucky Me ;D]
"Bit of a dilemma isn't it..." he muttered, gingerly poking his head out from inside the cave in the vain hope that he would see something. He looked across at her, she seemed panicked, understandably. He hated getting caught between Fanoran's and the village - it made it too complicated. He tried to remember if he'd actually introduced himself to her at any point, but he assumed this wasn't he right time for formalities. "Let's see what you little friend can tell us," he said hoisting the Fanoran off the floor. "How many are there?" he snarled a he creature. "More than there are of you!" it snapped, grinned smugly at him. He glanced over his shoulder at the low rumbling in the distance. They sounded like they were forming an army. But that was impossible. "Call them off!" he ordered "Make me," the Fanoran countered. This was getting ridiculous. "Ideas Kurve?" he asked, now fully aware that she would have no idea how he knew her name.

She felt a tinge of hopelessness, but quickly wiped it away. "If it's really an army, than we really need a great plan." She rested her head in her palms, tapping her head with one fore-finger. The small creature was tricky; small and young, but surprisingly smart. She had to outwit it at it's own game, which she convinced herself could happen.
"If you have an army, then I guess I'll have to call in ours." She poured out a variety of noises, those from a twitter of birds to a soft howling of, to any one's understanding, an injured rodent. When she had finished, she almost expected Kieds to drop from the sky.
She poked at the Fanoran, though gingerly and pulling her hand away quickly soon after. Even though it was small, and otherwise cuddly due to a luxurious coat of fluff, it had surprisingly sharp teeth packed behind it's smirk expression. "Okay, little fellow, time to gag you, unless you have anything to say before we throw you to our friends?"

Imros smirked, she was a genius. The Fanoran looked panicked, it was far to young to know that Kurve wasn't actually calling anyone. It looked around frantically. "Don't gag me!" He snarled, making another pass at Imros. "Call them off and we'll consider it," Imros growled, this little guy was starting to get on his nerves. The ball of fluff started to looks worried again, it obviously though that the sky was bout to rain Keids. It turned to Kurve and widened it's eyes, pouting a little. Imros chuckled "Believe me mate, that doesn't work on Keid girls!" he teased, looking over to Kurve wearing a silly grin. He straightened himself up. "Anyway - Anything to say before he gag you?" he asked, though he was starting to feel surprisingly mean.

Imros' humor seemed to lighten Kuvre's spirits. She tilted her head and glared down at the Fanoran with mock anger, hoping to frighten the thing even more than it already was. "Gunna call off your friends," She asked, standing a towering height above the creature, "Or should we stuff your mouth and leave you to rot?"

"You wouldn't do that to me!" The Fanoran retorted, making an attempt to jump out of Imros' hand. "And you'd know would you?" he sneered, flicking the Fanoran's ears. The Fanoran looked outside, still waiting for the army of Keids to arrive (even though they weren't coming,) It glanced over to Kurve, and then up Imros' arm. It growled, "Fine! I'll tell you!" it said reluctantly. Imros grinned with satisfaction, "Good boy," he smiled, patting the Fanoran on the head like a pet. "At a price! Put me down!" the ball hissed, still glaring up at it's captors. "Y'reckon I put him down or not Kurve? Y'know, give a little get a little..." he asked over his shoulder. Bartering with the Fanoran seemed the only way out of this situation.

Kuvre looked right into the Fanoran's eyes, trying to read it's mind. Of course she didn't trust him, but she had to utilise this creature in order to get out of this dilemma. She read fear in it's expression, fear yet a look of guile was across it's face. She looked around the area--where could it go? If it got lost in this maze of paths, she could easily hunt it down.
"Fine, let him go." She ordered quietly, watching the soft creature plop to the ground.

"Nice knowin' you!" the Fanoran cried as it made a run for the exit. Imros jumped and seized it by the scruff of the neck. "Nice try little guy!" he he sighed, this was getting tiresome. He unwrapped the bandages from around his arms, he used one to tie its arms and the other to bind it's legs. "Right! Now that's all cleared up. Tell me how many of the them there are and I won't let Kurve gag you, alright?" He barked trying to reason with the small antagonized ball of fluff. "237..." the creature mumbled, knowing full well how much trouble he was going to be in when they let him go. "Very good," Imros smiled, though deep down he was extremey unnerved, 237 Fanorans armed to the teeth were sat outside the cave, poised and ready to attack. This was bad news...

Kuvre raised a brow, "Two hundred thirty-seven?" It sounded fake to her ears, yet the rumbling from a far off was extremely realistic. The Fanoran wasn't proving very useful after all. This little thing was sent because it was no use in battle, but what else was it useful for? It could spy, yes. It could sneak well, but not well enough not to get caught. But why not sent a more able warrior? This thought confused her. There had to be something special about this tike, something very special.
She sat down, crosslegged, and propped her chin on one hand, elbow resting on her knee. Her eyes bore into the Fanoran, "What's your name, little fella? You don't happen to know something important, do you? 'Cause if you do, I'd really like to know."

The Fanoran looked over to here. "Seilk," he mumbled, his looked seemed to have changed. Imros smiled, "I suppose you don't know anything useful," he sighed, "You want some lunch? I'm starving to death," he continued, pulling a lump of somewhat stale bread out of his pocket. He hadn't realised that the fact the Fanoran had a name had changed his opinion of it. With a name he was almost human, even if Imros was too dense to realise. Seilk cautiously took some of the bread from Imros and looked back over to Kurve. He knew what she was thinking,"There aren't two hundred and thirty seven of us," he sighed, "There's seventeen at the most," he mumbled, chewing on the bread. Imros sighed with relief, Seventeen wasn't good by any stretch of the imagination but it was much better than two hundred and thirty seven!

Her face broke out in a grin, one she couldn't have kept in even if she tried (and she wasn't going to, either). "Seventeen! That's do-able, right?" She points her eyes toward Imros, whose face was smothered with relief. Seventeen! Seventeen against two.
Taking them down one by one would be good, if they could only draw them into traps. She didn't want a slaughterhouse, oh no, that wasn't Kuvre's thing. Scare 'em off, make an optical illusion. Make it look more like seventeen against two hundred thirty-seven.
She turned her attention to Seilk, who was leaning back on his haunches while munching on a small token of bread. She realized she was hungry, too. She took her own stash of food out and nibbled on it, working busily on thought.
[Got any ideas?]

[Fighting!! ;D]
Imros had never seen Kurve smile before, it almost knocked him off his guard. Seventeen against two? The odds were still stacked against them...or maybe not. "So, smiler," he grinned, "Got a plan? Because I'm stumped" he sighed and leaned back against the wall. Silence followed for a brief period of time. He knew sitting around wasn't going to do them any good. He pushed himself off the wall and wander over to the mouth of the cave. He stuck his head and had a quick you looked around. Silent, still. "This is ridiculous," he groaned until there was a sharp twanging sound as an arrow shot past his nose. Oh that's ain't good!" he cried, stumbling backwards.

Kuvre shot to her feet, pulled out her bow and a fistfull of arrows. "Grab Seilk!" She whispered loudly. Their small hideaway had it's own built-in backdoor, which was simply a tangle of growth and small roots that could be pushed aside. She led them out and on the other side of the tree.
"Leave him here if you want, just gag him up with something!" She whispered to her partner. She clamped her teeth around an arrow and put another in her bow, pointing the tip out in front of her. With slinking footsteps, she edged toward the end of the hideaway, and peered out over the side. Immediately, she saw a catlike creature slinking towards the opening of the empty cove. She drew back her arrow, and let go. The Fanoran dropped with a quiet, grassy thud.
She quickly filled her bow with another arrow poised to kill. Her dark eyes scanned the flora and fauna, trying ot catch any movement. "I think there was only one here, it must have overheard us." She whispered to Imros. "Let's get out of sight, but still on the main route."

Imros watched her run past. He looked down at the quivering ball of fluff. "C'mere you" he cried and seized Seilk by the back of the neck and pelted past her sending a jet of wind behind him. "Whatever you say! where are we going though? We can't lead them back to Shuptalxia," he cried, as they slipped through the trees. He followed behind her, his arm aching from carrying Seilk. "Don't even ask," he sighed as he noticed her look down at the Fanoran. There was a harsh cry from the trees ahead, "Brilliant - I smell an ambush..." he hissed.
