I have some questions relating to magic – What I have read so far indicates that it is very difficult to kill someone with magic, but based on the underlying rules it seems as though this shouldn’t be the case, so I have a couple of things I want to ask, is it possible for a wind mage to give someone an air embolism and kill them that way? Can a water mage suck the moisture out of someone? Can a thunder mage draw out the electrical nerve impulses in the brain?
Also, what is level of understanding of electricity in Riiga? Thunder mages would have to have at least some basic knowledge of it – And does electricity obey the same laws in Riiga as in the real world?

They're all very valid questions. I'm not sure where you got the idea that it's hard to kill someone with magic. It's quite easy. It's just not usually wise However, one of your questions can be answered by quoting On Magic: "The fourth is that absorbing body water is a lethal weapon and the mention of sucking someone dry of their own water content is enough to scare many wrong-doers away." As for the other two; I honestly didn't know what an air embolism is, but upon researching a little, it seems entirely possible. There is nothing to suggest it's not possible, despite it being difficult to perform, because the caster would need impressive anatomical knowledge and such. And drawing out nerve impulses... I'm not sure they would be strong enough to be counted as "thunder magic", because they're not really that strong, are they? Thunder magic is defined by the strength of the electric power, not just the power itself. So having said that, I would say it's not possible to take hold of [and possibly draw out] electrical nerve impulses using thunder magic, but it's entirely possible to disrupt them, of course. Yes there is a good understanding of electricity, but the odd thing about Riiga is that using electricity [and even things like steampower] is actually against the law in all human lands in Riiga... and then some. I won't go into the reasons why unless you're really interested. Electricity in Riiga is the same as electricity here, but remember there is a difference between natural electricity and electricity magic -- that difference being magical electricity is or has been manipulated or manifested in some way or another by a mage and, as such, is destined to dissipate unless maintained/sustained through some process or another, in which case it would then become natural electricity. I hope this clears it up for you a little.

-what is adumbra? I don't think you detailed so much... (I just know it isn't for mortals ^^)
-Oh I just wanted to add that since wind is used by playing with pressures, you can imagine it's possible to put a kind of emptinesss sphere around an objet and make it explode XD (through I guess it's an extreme use of this kind of magic).. you know, I meant like in space..
-Do you think it's possible to call a kind of flash light in light magic? you know, like if I wanted to blind someone temporarily...

What is Adumbra? Have you read this: riiga.wikispaces.com/adumbraWhat you're asking about air is whether it's possible to place an item in an explosive pocket of air. Of course, if it's possible in principle, it's possible in Riiga. The question at hand is the required strength of the mage and the consequences using such a spell would have. On Magic specifies that wind magic is based on altering the temperature of the air in the immediate reach of the caster. How much alteration would it take to draw all the air that surrounds, say, a loaf of bread? An awful lot, if you ask me. It's possible in extreme cases, but would require utmost concentration and mental strength. Of course, blinding someone via light magic is perfectly possible. Simply shine a laser (of varying strength, depending on the desired effect) into their eyes and then run. It's possible, but probably not legal.
