I'm sure with our highly skilled artist population, we could all work together to see this through.
Character sheets!
Any RPG, especially ones which are text based, will feature some kind of character sheet. I suggest that we compose our own. One (or two) page, A4 document.

What's your definition of the term, "character sheet"?

Well like I said, A4 format/size. Tick boxes/ 1 to 5 ratings on abilities and skill in said ability. Name, age, race obviously. A little space for physical details. And a weapons tick list.
Look some up on a Search Engine, there's a multitude out there, and most themes repeat, so we should make one!

I see many as .pdf documents. Does this mean that we print them if they're A4? Or are they digital? Or both? How does one create digital character sheets? Wouldn't they be extra work for people? Or aren't they required? Then what is the point of them? I'm not picking at it. I'm just saying these are the things that need to be thought about.

All parameters to think of, yes. Printed, I think yes, they should be a full A4 page?
And it is amazingly simple to lay one out in truth (having done a couple myself for other things) The use of the simple shapes tool, or even through MS Word/Publisher.

So what is the purpose of them? I don't want to turn Riiga into a text-based MMORPG. It's supposed to be different. If they're printed out, nobody can see them, either. It's a good idea. I just don't quite see how it applies to this forum yet.

Well, in the interest of avoiding becoming an MMORPG, this could be thought of as an accessory. Still, just something to think about.

I have heaps of character sheets for things myself. Don't really see the point here though as we don't have a formalised stats system.
I play lots of text based RP's and even the ones that have a stat system I don't really refer to the sheet all that often.

A valid point. As I say, it would be a collectable accessory.
