The following is a list of rules for Riiga in the Role Playing [RP] forums.
1] No Godmodding. That is, you cannot kill characters in one hit and likewise you are not invulnerable to every attack. Be reasonable and realistic in your posting. The only excpetion to this rule are god characters, and they do not fight non-gods.
2] No Powerplaying. This means that in your posts you cannot decide what other characters do. You control your character and only your character unless the person specifies otherwise.
3] Try to keep your writing in the third-person and past tense. Write as though the average novel is written. Do not write, "I am going to the inn." Instead, write, "Cole went to the inn."
4] Do not post images mid-post to explain what something looks like. Try to use words.
5] Be careful when switching between IC and OOC.
In Character [IC] writing is the fictional Role Playing content.
Out Of Character [OOC] is as it implies. It is you talking to someone, not your character, and used when discussing RP ideas. It should be in brackets.
6] IC replies and posts should be more than one sentence long. If you have no choice but to reply with a single sentence, perhaps the RP lacks content.
7] Separate RP threads do not interact with one another at the same time.
8] A single character can only be active in one RP at a time. If you want to use a character somewhere else, end the RP he/she is in by posting an OOC comment such as [RP ended] and then introducing your character elsewhere.
9] Grammar and spelling are important, but this is more a reminder than a rule. The forums come with a spell check button and if you're not sure about your typing then use this. It will make it easier for people to understand what you're saying, too.
10] You need not explain your character's travels. You can be in Lyte one day, finish off and RP, and then appear in, say, Trelinia.
11] The rest of the rules are the basic etiquette rules:
No spamming.
No flaming.
No inappropriate content.
No discussion of illegal software.
No trolling.
No racist/insulting/derogatory speech.
Profanity must be kept to a minimum.
If you breaking any of these rules, you will be notified and asked to stop, depending on the seriousness. If you continue to break the rules, you will be banned.
