"I..." Yohann began, his cheeks turning crimson. The boy was surprised of Blake's spontaneous response, they had met each other about ten minutes ago and this guy made such a request. Blake's confidence made Yohann feel uneasy. Suddenly, the red haired boy released his hand from Blake's. Despite his uneasiness, the boy couldn't help but think there was something special about Blake.
".. all right then" Yohann said. "I haven't dinner with someone else since my bro left, it may be fun"
The two of them arrived in an ordinary house. It wasn't very decorated and was quite tidy.

[Hope you don't mind me describing the house a little and powerplaying Yohann slightly]
Blake went and lit a sconce of his own accord, watching keenly as it shed light over the dim room. He was faced with a sort of rustic entrance hall that joined onto a dining and kitchen area to the left, with an old wooden table sitting on worn burgundy tiles. He took a candle from on the table and lit that from the first flame. As Yohann began to prepare something in the kitchen, Blake took his candle and seated himself in the next room, which was significantly darker, and he browsed the boy's books excitedly.
"What's... channeling?" he called out. "It's in this magic book." He lifted his head to look at Yohann through the passageway. "What is it?"

"Channelling? It's how mages call the searching for elemental surges" Yohann answered. He was washing some vegetables. "In general when you talk about magic channelling, it refers to the action of casting magic" the boy added. "To cast magic, you have to select a spell, find a channel, link to the channel and finally project" he said like if he was answering to his magic teacher. "Look at this" Yohann was now casting a little fire ball in his hand and threw it in the oven. "Magic is quite useful, isn't it?" he said with a smile. "the Sage Nicolas Carson wrote an excellent book about it, I think it must be somewhere among my other books" the boy added.

Blake didn't seem to understand at all. He blinked on occasion while Yohann spoke, but his face was the perfect depiction of cluelessness. Slowly, he placed the book back where he found it. But when Yohann cast the flame, Blake's eyes lit up and he jumped off the chair and went to the boy's side. He held out his hand.
"Look! I can do that, too!"
Sure enough, in the palm of his hand, a flame sprouted and spluttered, glowing brightly before dying again. Blake shook his hand.
"But I can't do it for long. It hurts. Oh, is dinner ready yet?"
[Feel free to skip to anywhere until the next morning if you like]

Yohann woke up. It was already dawn. The boy stood up quickly and dressed up, he packed a few stuff and the book he borrowed the day before then got ready for his journey.
When Yohann got near the main entrance of Lyte, he couldn't help but think about the day before, and about both Nieko and Blake. He noticed he couldn't remember exactly what happened during the dinner with Blake, that fact bothered him a bit. The boy tried to get rid of these thoughts to concentrate on his goal. Finding his brother was his only wish but whatever he did to forget about Blake and Nieko, he still wondered if he'd meet again someday.

Nieko's feet tore threw the long grass as he ran for safety. He wasn't sure what had been chasing him but he knew it was big and he had no weapons to fight it with. Still running, he glanced over his shoulder and saw nothing but when he looked back ahead he saw the boy he had met yesturday (Yohann) standing at the main entrance of Lyte. Then he realised that he was about to crash into him. Unfortunatly he was too close to Yohann, he had no time to stop. Their bodies slammed together.

Yohann fell. Then he raised up his head, complaining. He recognized Nieko.
"Whaa... It's you! what are you doing??" he asked nervously

Nieko moaned and got back up onto his feet. He stretched out his hand to help Yohann up.
“Sorry.” He stuttered
“I was out for a walk and then something came after me. So I ran.” Nieko glanced over his shoulder to check if anyone was there.
“What are you doing?” He asked Yohann, as he patted the dirt off his clothes.

"I'm..." Yohann hesitated to tell Nieko the truth, since he knew him for only one day. "I'm looking for my brother..." Yohann finally said, thinking there was nothing to hide. "but I have no clue of where he could be." he added "...he may be anywhere in Riiga." he said worriedly

Nieko's lips extended into a frown as he looked at Yohann's worried face. He still felt unsure about this boy he had only met yesturday but offered to help.
"Umm, I could help you find him if you wanted." He said feeling sorry for Yohann.

"Really?!" Yohann said with surprise. "Are you sure?" The boy thought this may be suspicious since there was no profit for Nieko to help him, but then Yohann assessed Nieko seemed too kind and naive to make this kind of guile. Moreover he thought Nieko may be worthy to trust, and it was better to not travel alone.
"Why not then? But shouldn't you tell your parents or something? I'm not sure they'll agree..."

Nieko jumped back at Yohann’s sudden out burst of surprise, but he felt glad that Yohann had excepted his offer. It had been a while since he had gone on an adventure.
“Yeah, I would be glad to help you” He said, grinning.
“My parents…..Um well, I don’t have any parents but my brother wouldn’t mind if I left. He will be gone for a month to do some unfinished business.”
There was a pause and then Nieko added.
“Well, if I am coming then I better go and pack my things. You can wait here if you like, while I go and get my stuff.”
Butterflies danced around his stomach as he raced passed the crowds of people until he reached a small house he and his brother were sharing with some people. He quickly rumbled through his room and filled his pack with the things he would need.
He returned to see Yohann waiting for him at the main entrance of Lyte.

Yohann was reading the book he borrowed, he was sitting under a tree. When Nieko arrived, Yohann stood up and closed the book.
"I was thinking about where we should go first." The boy said "there is a huge world map in this book" he added.
Yohann paused.
"It's almost noon now, I think we should go now, if you are ready of course." Yohann finally said. "I thought we could go to Scarcus, in the south, since it's a big city with a big market. We should find some clue there first...". "Do you agree with this destination?" the red-haired boy asked, packing his book.

[This is getting exciting! ^^]
Nieko leaned over to get a closer look at the map. His eyes zig zagged threw the places until he came to were Scarcus.
"I don't think i have ever been there before but if you think we should go there then its fine by me."
Nieko hoisted his pack onto his shoulders. He had his long bow in one hand and his daggers in his pocket, just in case anything happened....
He waited for Yohann to take the lead.

Yohann closed the book. "it is said that it's quite a dangerous place. I'm glad I'm not traveling there alone" the boy said wearing his cloak. "We'll have to go in Serten first, then we'll go south to Southern Tasif"
Then Yohann looked worried. "but it make take very long if we travel by foot... it may take 10 days or more!" he finally said.
Yohann was looking at the sky, but he seemed to think hard about something. "I Guess we should take the train then!"
The two boys finally found a train which was going to Serten. It was a kind of big cart which was pulled by a big beast.
"haaa! We did well using a train!" Yohann said. They have indeed travel for almost 2 days now, but they finally got to Serten.
"Serten isn't as big as Lyte" Yohann began to explain to Nieko, as if he was teaching him. "I think we should try to find a room for tonight"
The two of them were looking for a free room for one hour already, and the only one they found cost about 75 golds. Since Yohann wanted to keep his money for a better use, they were still wandering in the street through it was already very late.
