Karel brushed his hair back from his face, tucking it behind one ear and smiled cutely while giggling slightly - a sound that had no trouble passing his lips. ~Go through what?~ Said the calm musical boys voice in Maddy's head. ~The inn keeper I used to live with was much scarier than Malace thinks he is.~
Karel then looked himself over when he noticed Maddy was checking he was okay, looking back at her with his head slightly tilted. ~I'm fine Maddy. Om'ma,~ an image of a grandmotherly looking woman and a sensation of warmth and comfort appeared in Chrys' mind briefly, ~looks after me very well and she doesn't beat me like the inn keeper used to.~
After another cute smile Karel tilted his head the other way and appeared to think then closed his eyes and tilted his head a little more. Maybe he was listening for something or someone though there was no sound Maddy or anyone else could hear. After a moment he looked back to Chrys and grinned a bit. ~I've only been here a few days so I don't really know much.~ Said the voice in Chrys' head. ~We could explore together for a while, but Om'ma said I have to be home before sunset.~
[ooc I can go longer, we've only just hit two pages. If you want to do something new though I'm happy for this just to be a little intro type of thing.]

ooc: Sorry for the delay, Rave, Sir.
The telepathic voice ringed in Chrys's head. She was not completely used to the 'silent' conversation but by now she didn't feel the suddenly rush of adrenaline whenever Karel used his way of speech, "Wow, I can't imagine a scarier innkeeper than Malace."
Chrys bent down to his level to check if he was alright and when he fidgeted, she suddenly came to realisation that she was becoming to motherly and that it certainly wasn't good for her age. Smiling briefly she let out a sigh, "Glad that you're being well taken care of." she replied, reminiscing about her own family and curious as to what they were doing now.
Karel's idiosyncrasies would certainly rate high on the cute factor and Chrys couldn't help but smile exuberently. Taking Karel by the hand she walked forward, "Well, show me around then!"
It would be a couple of good hours before the sun would set over the horizon, it would be soon that she would have to face the bigotry of this uncivilised country, but she vowed to make a difference every since she had known about the racism.
ooc: There you are, sir. A post fit for a joker. I sincerely apologise for the lateness of my reply. =3
Karel giggled as they started to walk down the street. ~So far, I've worked out that the markets are this way.~ Said the voice in Maddy's head. ~That's where Om'ma is. She's telling fortunes for people, that's how we make money usually.~ The boy's mental voice explained, complete with the occasional image for good measure.
Once they reached it, the market was busy with people buying and selling, moving from stall to stall. It wasn't crowded, but a boy and a girl walking along together wouldn't exactly draw too much attention.
