Evan lifted a leg and hopped over the staff swing, though he almost toppled as he did. He threw a confused glare at Savan and stopped walking.
"Watch where you swing that staff. You almost tripped me." He didn't hear Savan's latter statement.

“It’s called a robbery, Evan, a concept for which I entertain a great confidence that you are in some vague way familiar with,” said Savan, fast becoming thoroughly bored with the whole morning. His plan had thus far gone smooth. He had seen that the kid had some wealth about him and proceeded to lure him into the middle of nowhere where he could rob him, gaining his trust with some useless advice on deception, all the while being the eccentric but kind little boy who just wanted to help out. That he had given his real name didn’t bother him. It didn’t even occur to him, the difference between what was true and what was lie had long since disappeared to Savan. He had entertained a hope they would be attacked at some point, but alas, it was not to be. He was forgetting something… ahh, yes. The injury. “I guarantee you that there is no village, nor Inn for quite a distance,” continued Savan, “but should our exchange continue smoothly I assure you I will give you detailed instructions as to said shelters location. Now, get the coins please, you can keep the sword.” He held out a bag.
Edit: His name is Evan, not Eric, and it's spelt bored, not board. Fixed both.

"A robbery," Evan said after a moment.
He looked Savan up and down carefully, though somewhat wearily, and then he looked up and down the road. They were between hills, and sight was limited. Someone or something could easily come charging over either hill and they wouldn't know until they were quite close. Evan didn't really show any sign of distress in his expression, though. He just seemed blank, if not slightly disappointed.
"I'll give you only one reason why I'm not going to take out my money. That is that I barely have any on me. You'll find more money checking under the dust in a busy marketplace. The few pieces of flat metal you'll find on me are hardly worth the... trouble."

[[Thanks, and I know his name is Evan, Savan just doesn’t care enough to bother.]]
“Don’t lie to me, you’re not very good at it.” said Savan, who was really becoming quite annoyed at this kids constant and feeble attempts at deception, “If you have no money, then why do you want to go to an inn? And why are you going to the trouble to defend your pocket change? Last chance, fork it over or I’m going to get bored with talking. 5, 4…”

"I didn't say I had no money. I said I had barely any money. I'm defending it so that I CAN go to an inn. Don't ask silly questions."
He stopped and simply listened to the countdown, watching Savan's whole body from a few steps away. He didn't say anymore, because he figured the kid wouldn't want to be interrupted during a countdown to... something. He also refrained from turning away and walking down the road, as the boy appeared to have some sort of superiority complex and would surely throw an intellectual tantrum if his opposition made the mature move. He was sure Savan would have the last word, as again he seemed that sort of person, but what that word would be depended on their collective wisdom and sense of futility.
[I'm liking this RP btw. It's interesting and challenging]

“...3, 2, 1.” Almost as soon as soon as he reached the end of his countdown Savan leapt towards Evan, using the length of his staff to span the distance between them he stabbed at Evans throat, but part way through the thrust he suddenly changed the course of his strike to attack the hand on Evan’s uninjured arm.
[[Because I want to be clear about this character’s personality I’m going to try to explain him a little more. At the moment he has a superiority complex only because that’s what he’s pretending to be. His brain damage allows the two sides of his brain to act independently of each other, so he is able to keep the personality he is pretending to have totally in charge of his reactions. He won’t react to anything, even pain, unless he chooses to. He’s the perfect liar, because the part that is controlling his body and face actually believe the lies. And no, this is not anything like multiple personality disorder, because his entire brain is under his control. It’s kind of difficult to explain, but that’s my attempt. Oh, and just so you know, Savan will not give up short of death. All he really wanted was a fight form the beginning anyway. If he was just after the cash, he could have blackmailed the kid with that flying thing.]]

Evan was ready for a strike, but he wasn't ready for one at his throat. As he stumbled slightly from the first false thrust, he didn't have much time at all to defend himself from the latter. But as the staff connected with his arm beneath his cloak, there was a metallic ring and the wood splintered against what could be strong armour, even though Evan's left arm was unarmoured. He stepped back and pulled his cloak to reveal thick plate armour almost entirely encasing his right arm, and with this arm he drew his shining sword. But he did not make any offensive moves just yet. He kept a reasonable distance between him and Savan, now that the boy's staff was weakened by him smashing it against metal.
"I don't want to hurt you, but I will defend my well-being at all costs," he said, completely serious.

Savan had learned a great distrust for hypocrites, and someone who claims that they don’t want to hurt you but then seems ready to kill over a few coins is clearly a hypocrite.
Savan saw Evans sword, and knew he would have an advantage in speed over the heavier silver weapon. He threw his staff like a spear, again at Evans throat, and then ran forwards towards him, drawing his sword in a slash across the stomach.

Evan moved one foot, smashing the spear down as it flew past, and as Savan ran he had already stepped out of the way of the swing, and he swung his clenched gauntlet fist towards the boy's back as he ran by.

[[Sorry I’ve been away, it’s open season for Folios for the next few weeks so I don’t have terribly much time on my hands.]]
Savan turned and saw the fist flying towards him. He brought up his sword with speed and precision, and slid it under Evans gauntlet and clothing so the flat of his blade was touching the unprotected skin of Evans wrist. He only had to twist it a fraction before the blade, trapped by Evans gauntlet, started to dig into his wrist. “Now it would do you well to hear with care, just what I have to say…”
[[Umm… if you’ve been saving up a big plot twist, now is probably a good time for it…]]

[Heh, there's no rush. I just reminded you in case you forgot. I don't usually involve people's first RPs in large plots, so this RP is fairly free. I can make something happen though]
"I never told you to shut your mouth anyway," Evan said. "But if you have something else to add, then speak."
There came the sound of horses neighing and though Evan didn't turn his head, it was clear that his attention was suddenly elsewhere. From the way they were headed, there rode four horsemen towards them. They were clad in blue-grey, white, and dark grey, and the one at the front halted the ones behind.
"What's going on here?" the leader asked, eying the two boys carefully and calming his horse. Evan said nothing.

Without missing a beat, Savan levered Evans arm behind the older boys back, so Savan was now behind him. “Good knights, I prey you, hold you back for now, while this thief, who made upon me, gets what he deserves.”

The leading knight looked back and forth between Savan, who had Evan's arms behind his back, and Evan, who was just staring back. He frowned as though trying to realise what the boy had said to him and then he nodded at them.
"You, boy." He pointed to Savan. "Let the other one go. If he is a thief then we'll take him away." He dismounted and stepped towards them, revealing his elaborate blue-grey and black outfit. "What did he steal from you?"

Savan had no idea what the other boy was carrying, so any search of him would quickly expose a lie. Better just to say he didn’t get anything from him.
“I am pleased to say that my arm was quick, he got no coins from me. Tell me your name, good officers do not go unrewarded, and my father will be sure to hear of your actions this day on my behalf. A friend like him... a powerful ally for a man to have”
He decided to add the idea of him being a noble or officers son for good measure, officers always want promotions, and by being a nobleman’s son the man will want to believe everything he says. The man is certainly likely to believe Savans story, after all he did manage to beat the boy who was at least 2 years his senior.

The leading knight frowned at Savan but kept the same distance between them.
"It's not that simple a matter, boy," he said, now talking more slowly than he was before. "I'm afraid both of you must come with me back to Maer. You are both on Jevithem ground, hence you both fall under our laws." He took a moment to observe Evan's outfit, as well as his stance and expression, and he met eyes with Savan again. "Unless you have business that's more important?"
Evan shook his head. "I will comply," he said. "It is not my intent to break any laws during my visit." He spoke those words rather calmly, and not with any spite towards Savan as one would presume.
"And you, boy?" asked the knight. "You will come back with us, yes?"
