Mhkaia froze as he saw the bolt hit the tree in front of him. He then looked behind him and saw the two men. He took a few steps back in surprise. The Gruitin was so worked up about being attacked by more of the Enemy that he forgot to look out for hunters!
Mhkaia frowned as he saw the man called Ferho hold up the piece of meat. Usually when he encountered hunters, he would run away to safety so that he wouldn't have to harm them. However, he would make an exception for these guys; people so obnoxiously ignorant deserved to get hurt. It had been a while since he had been in a real engagement, but Mhkaia was confident that he would defeat the two men. He began to dash towards Ferho, ready to strike with his claws.

Ferho didn't seem quite ready, and he received a nasty gash to his hand. He cried out and swiped a dagger at Mhkaia, but missed by a mile. The second hunter ran up from behind, but he proceeded to plant his face into the filthy undergrowth, thanks to a large root he failed to observe.
"Useless!" A third men emerged from nowhere, followed by at least four others. Now things were getting really heated.
The man that had fallen quickly got up and wiped leaves from his face. "Boss!" he cried. "We were just uhh..."
"You were just failing. This one's mine. Step back! Block its escape!" He drew a large hooked knife and ran at Mhkaia, going for a chop to the gruitin's arm.

Mhkaia was shocked as he saw the emerging hunters. He should've seen this coming, and yet he didn't. Mhkaia wasn't sure if he could handle all of these guys; he should've just fled when he had the chance!
The leader of the group began to charge towards the Gruitin. This wasn't the time to worry, he needed to stay focused. Even though the odds looked slim, he still had a chance of defeating the hunters. The man that was running towards him seemed more competent than the hunter he fought before; simply charging at him probably wouldn't work this time around. When the man was at striking distance, Mhkaia quickly jumped to the side, managing to avoid the hunter's attack. The man was fast, but his speed couldn't match up to a Gruitin's. Mhkaia then lunged at the man with the claws on his left hand.

The black claws struck boiled leather and scratched it, but nothing more. The leader spun around and smacked Mhaia's leg with the flat of the blade, but the Gruitin didn't stumble and instead jumped back, so he lifted the sword back around for a more savage hew for his opponent's chest. The other hunters cheered him on quite rowdily in the meantime.

Mhkaia had stepped to his right, but he underestimated his opponent's speed. His opponent had managed to strike the Gruitin's right arm, and Mhkaia yelped in pain as blood spurted out from it. Growling, he focused all of his energy into his left arm and swiped at the leader.

Mhkaia's claws tore at a bit of the leader's exposed forearm but he didn't seem to mind at all. In fact, he swung twice more with just as much energy. The first swing was badly aimed -- it missed clearly. The second swing was aimed for the Gruitin's neck. An inch away, he stopped. He stood still for a moment, both hands gripping his sword tightly, but he was looking at something beyond Mhkaia.
"Another hunter?" he said gruffly, and then louder, "This one's mine! Back off!"
All the other hunters had also turned their attention to the newcomer.
"I saw it first," came Eyron's voice.
The hunters wasted no time. They ran at him like hounds attacking a fox, but they sorely underestimated their opponent. Eyron drew two silver swords and stepped left and right, cutting down everyone who came at him and avoiding all their petty swings. His sidesteps were rhythmic, as was the dance his blades did, but somehow it all worked, and he stood unscathed.
"It's like hunting rabbits," Eyron said. He spat. "Stupid ones."
The leader's eyes were wide with shock, but he stood his ground and backed quickly away from Mhkaia. "What sort of magic is this? A human allied with a werewolf?"
