"Oh, nothing..." He shrugged, "I had knocked on that man's door, but no one answered." He turned and held out his arm for her to go first. "He might be like you," He added, daring to tease her some, "Not good in the mornings."

"In that case," Talyndal grinned. "I think the smart thing to do would be bring him his breakfast as a peace offering. Or wait until he wakes up himself. Otherwise you'll have two bleary-eyed grumps on your hands rather than just the one."

Drake smiled, too, but turned. "I'd rather have none, actually." He replied, then moved to face her again. "I have orders to go to Central for a special mission. I'm sorry to leave you like this, but it has to be done." He reached for the door of his room, "I'm just going to gather my things and you can take my room." He pushed the door open and disappeared inside.
