Geral leapt at Kori and pinned him to the ground. The bow and arrow were knocked from his sweaty grasp.
"Even my little sister doesn't fall for that one!" Geral said with a sneer. "How stupid you are, boy!"
He held a dagger to Kori's throat when he stopped. His eyes narrowed again and his ears twitched. His gaze held Kori's, but his attention was elsewhere.
"Pah... Allies. You are extremely lucky that your friends are coming." He got up and grabbed Kori's arm, pulling him to his feet, and yanked him over behind a tree. "Now you listen to me. You're unarmed, slower, weaker, and far less intelligent. You're coming with me out of the jungle. A live Keid will earn me far more reputation than a dead weakling. If you call out, I cut your throat without hesitation."
He began to drag Kori along quickly, away from the voices that Kori could now probably hear.

Kori cursed to himself silent. How could he have been so idiotic? How naive could he be? Now he was trapped in the hands of his greatest enemy for his own stupidity.
As Kori was dragged, he knew he wasn't to be pulled away without a fight. As he was dragged, he leapt forward and dragged Geral to the ground, pinning him and grabbing for a knife that was usually attached to his belt in case his bow were to break.
He held it up to Geral's throat, looking deep into his deadly-golden eyes. "I'm not as easy of a catch as you may think."

Geral simply sneered at Kori, golden eyes glinting fearlessly back. Kori would've felt no more than a very slight prick in the side, as though a frond of a fern had poked him.
"Good night, boy," Geral said as he saw the effects of the sleeping tonic kick in. "Don't fight it. Just close your eyes like your body is telling you and you'll wake up far away from here. You're my trophie."

Kori eyed him suspicously, feeling a slight prick, but before long, a haze washed through his mind and his eyelids became heavy. The world spun under his feet and before he knew it, he was lying on the ground.
His eyes threatened to close as he reached for his knife, which was a few inches away from his reaching fingers, but right when he touched the handle, everything went black.
