Ignatius stood well back, sure that he'd have time to avoid any magic thrown at him due to the distance between them.
"Don't wait for it, you old fool. You'll give it time to cast. Keep it moving its arms so that it can't use its concealed staff!"

The Karithian looked back at Ignatius before turning to Garrol. One of it's hands went underdeath the cloak and put away the knife before it put it's other hand inside. That same rattling noise became present.

Ignatius pointed his open palm at the Karithian, trying to force him backwards as though a silent and unfelt gale was blowing him along. It did not even stir the cloaks on the beast. Ignatius turned to Garrol, waiting impatiently.

Garrol didn't hesitate when he noticed the signs of magic at work. He threw the knife he held at the Karithian clearly aiming for a glancing hit that might slice through it's robes and cut it somewhere there was flesh and fur rather then scale.
As he threw the first his other hand was reaching into his clothing to retrieve a second knife which for a human was quickly thrown at the hulk aiming for its other side, perhaps to in an attempt to increase the chance of the blade hitting simply by the fact the robed being might dodge into it's path while trying to avoid the first.

The Karithian stopped quickly seeing the daggers. They were too fast for the hulk to dodge so it took the blow. The first knife sliced cleanly through it's robes, then the second. The beast gave a deep grunt in pain as one of the knives, if not both, penitrated it's flesh.
The Karithian took the knife out and threw it on the ground, kicking the other one away was repelled by the armour. It stood still, breathing heavily as though revoring from the wound.

"Back away," Ignatius said to Garrol, though it was obviously the best thing to do at the time. "As tempting as it seems, we can't kill it." He turned to the Karithian and raised his voice. "Leave this city, and that's not an order. It's a wise suggestion. We want nothing more from you." He eyed the peices of fur lying on the roof, cut from the beast by the daggers.

Garrol stepped back and didn't reach for another knife. "Not li'e ah got anythin' t' kill onea them with anyhow." He kept his hands to his sides and moved up the roof towards the ridge, giving the beast plenty of space.

The Karithian grunted and looked at Ignatius, then at Garrol, then back to Ignatius. The beast then quickly broke into a run towards the edge of the building furthest away from them. It jumped once it reached the egde and dissapeared behind the building.

Ignatius walked to them, his limp now seemingly gone, and he scooped up some fur in his hand, slipping it into somewhere inside his robes. He then turned to Garrol.
"You no longer owe me, old man," he said. "Though if I were to return for similar items, you would be the one to see, yes?"

Garrol inclined his head in a slight nod. "Aye. If it's in Scarcus an ah don' know about it... probably ain' much worth knowin about."
The old thief chuckles. "Ah'll keep me ear ou' fer anythin tha' might interest yeh." That said he heads off over the roof tops to a point then drops to hang from the gutter before dropping to the ground and wandering off to who knows where.
